Christmas in July?

When some folks think Fair Trade sales, their minds go to the holidays. Purchasing fairly traded handcrafts and gourmet foods at Christmas, for example, is a wonderful way to shop your values and give gifts that give in multiple ways. This summer Fair Traders around the country are making sure Fair Trade is a year-round experience.

The communities you see listed below know that summer shouldn’t be left out as an opportunity for socially responsible shopping! The producers who depend on Fair Trade for their families and communities need support all year long. And our lives our enhanced by the array of handcrafted and handharvested products from all over the globe day in and day out. Just yesterday I saw a starling sipping water from a Fair Trade bird bath from Vietnam that I had recently set up!

So make your list and check it twice. Do you need beach gear? Baskets for barbeques? Work of Human Hands sales can help you enjoy summer in solidarity! Run these names through a search engine and find your way to a sale. And if we missed anybody, leave us a comment so we all know!

    I’ve made all my purchases for my wife in recent years from the Work of Human Hands catalog. Highly recommended!

    The fact that you know and can share the story behind every item in the catalog makes both the gift-giving and the gift-receiving 100X more meaningful. It lasts longer, too, as we can share those same producer stories with friends visiting our home who ask about the item.
