Overcoming Gender Violence in Rwanda

Those of you familiar with CRS Fair Trade coffee partner Dean Cycon of Dean’s Beans won’t be surprised be this latest article from him in the Corporate Responsibility Newswire. On a recent visit to Rwanda, Dean helped provide a training to overcome gender-based violence to coffee farmers of the cooperative, COOPAC. As Dean says in the article, “…we believe that the quality of the coffee is a reflection of the quality of life of our farmer partners, and the health and strength of their community is integral to our success. I live for this kind of work.”
